WinKeyer USB ACC Cables for RTTY FSK Icom 7300 and 7610
I am a fan of the WinKeyer USB. It's the best way I've found to use a paddle with my Drake TR-7. It's the best way I've found to send real CW and RTTY FSK from Fldigi.
WinKeyer USB ACC Cable for the Icom 7610
This one is tricky to make. I bought 5 connectors off E-bay and destroyed two before I got it right, hi hi.
For the IC-7610 buy 8 Pin DIN Male Connectors 270 Degrees
Using a patch cable such as this, RCA Audio Cable 2 RCA Male to 2 RCA Male, cut off one end and solder the center wire of the red plug (RCA audio cable) to SEND and the white plugs (RCA audio cable) center wire to RTTY. The shields from the RCA audio cable go to GND.
WinKeyer USB ACC Cable for the Icom 7300
This one is very easy to make. Using a patch cable such as this, RCA Audio Cable 2 RCA Male to 2 RCA Male, and using the supplied connector from Icom that came with your Icom 7300 solder the center wire of the red plug (RCA audio cable) to the SEND wire (DIN plugs orange wire) and the white plugs (RCA audio cable) center wire to the FSKK wire (DIN plugs black wire). The shields go to GND (DIN plugs red wire).
Confusing? It'll make sense when you have your hands on the parts.
Connecting to the WinKeyer USB
You'll have a standard USB-A to USB-B cable going from the WK3 to the computer. For the ACC cable you made, plug the red connector into the PTT of the WinKeyer USB and the white connector into the KEY.
Icom 7300 and 7610 Internal Setting
USB Keying (RTTY) needs to be OFF.

Thank you and informative and I will try that however what happens to the EXT file in MMTY is that let in or taken out of the MTTY file folder I would appreciate input currently using N1MM with two cables would like to try this but with win4icomsuite Cheers
Hello and thank you for commenting. The last time I installed MMTTY the EXTFSK 2.0e was installed. It will run in the background.
I have not used WinIcomSuite, but it looks very nice. I think it is a good addition to these radios and I hear good things about it. GL and good DX! Rich, K0PIR
I wired the cable for my 7610 exactly as described even though it didn’t make sense to me. It keys the radio in CW and sends nothing. In rtty it keys the radio and won’t unkey. I don’t understand why the key jack center pin wires to the rtty pin. Anyway it doesn’t work. My standard stereo cable works fine on CW. Just trying to get RTTY going on FLDIGI.

It’s nice to hear from you and thank you for commenting here. Sorry to hear that it is not working. It took a while for me to figure this darn thing out. I had to get help from the WinKeyer developer.
I remember that I had to turn off RTTY Keying internally in the radio.
So check that and another thing you can check is the diddle. Contact the developer and he has another test to verify the cabling is correct.
